This thesis aims to explain the recent financial problems and try to research the possibi1ity to stimulate the local economy by using community currency. Since the 1980s financial liberalization and globalization have been promoted rapidly，an d a vast volume of money has shifted from one market to others through the computer networks in the world.
Lieman Brothers Shock which happened in 2008 autumn now influences a serious recession. The monetary policy seemed not to be effective and the outcome of the accelerated competition has led to the difference between the wealthy group and the poor group; especially in Japan the local area has been declining seriously. By analyzing the survey research of community currency，this thesis finally checks the possibility whether the local area in Japan will be able to recover by using community currency. |
