| 内容記述 | At the beginning of the Meiji period，al l the industries in Hiroshima Prefecture were traditional ones and most of the manufactured goods were made by craftsmen in household industries. In the Meiji period many new manufactured goods were introduced and many factories emerged not only in new industries but in the traditional ones as well. At the end of the Meiji period，t he traditional industries that constituted the greater part of the industries of Hiroshima Prefecture were still there，but a large ortion of the manufactured goods came to be produced in factories. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the characteristics of the development of factories in Hiroshima Prefecture in the Meiji Era using the Hiroshima Ken Kangyo Nenpo (the Annual Report of the Promotion of Industry of Hiroshima Prefecture). |
