| 内容記述 | Osakikaisei Highschool is located on Osakikamijima, a remote island suffering from depopulation and an aging population, in Hiroshima Prefecture. Osakikamijima Town has adopted a policy of “an island of education” to overcome this problem and has started the High School Attractiveness Project. It produced certain results, but in the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic, efforts were made to open what is called “Mikata Café” and provide high school students with varied “perspectives” and “allies.” The purpose of this article is to organize basic information on the Mikata Café and examine its outcomes and significance based on interviews with the people involved. Consequently, it was found that Mikata Café played a role that high school did not play, especially in providing students with “allies.” However, since this study is based on interviews with a small number of people, a larger scale study is recommended for the future. | |||||||||||||
