CMCは疎行列計算にも対応しているが, これまでの実装では疎行列のデータ構造はCCS形式やCRS形式などしか扱えなかった. 本稿では, CMCのJDS形式への対応について述べる. Matrix Marketを用いた行列ベクトル積の実測では, JDS形式は他CRS, CCS形式と比べ, スカラ計算機HPC2500で最大2.4倍, ベクトル計算機SX5では最大28倍の高速化を確かめられた. We have been developing CMC, a compiler for matrix computations, which translates MATLAB-based scripts into Fortran 90 programs by static analyses. CMC did not have the functionality to utilize sparse matrix schemes other than simple formats like CCS and CRS until the extension we show in this article was implemented. Newly supported data structure is called JDS format, which has been reported to be effective especially on vector machines.
